He was acting like a jerk and thats a fact, but I personally pity the man based on what I now know. I dont think it matters how much money and fame a person has. When he is alone and it comes time to turn out the lights and lay his head down to sleep at night, its cant be easy to know that he has been "alone in the crowd" all day. He even griped at the security staff and other support personel to stay at least 150 feet away from the trailer when he was in it. That was problematic for the other actors as well. If it were not for other things he did, I would think he was just seriously paranoid, but its more than that. He may be fun to watch on the screen, but underneath all the glitz, the man has a problem and that is sad to know. Especially when his "work" is honestly enjoyed by so many people.

I just thought I'd mention this this time as I've seen this mistake a couple of times; This is in the STATE of NEW MEXICO of the USA, the town of Carrizozo; not the country of Mexico LOL
I know, it's an often made mistake LOL, but we like to fix that when we can

I don't know that they have any filming planned for: in the country of Mexico.

I just thought I'd clear that up
And thanks to the new poster for sharing your pictures!

Default next film sight

According to one of the girls who has a carry over part, they are filming in 'white sands' next. She needed to be available for at least one day and maybe two, but I dont know how long the rest of the film crew will be there.

You do realise that Washington is a "method" actor, right? And that Ray Stevenson and Gary Oldman are not (in fact, I don't believe any of the main actors are "method", aside from Washington). Washington's character is supposed to be a "lone warrior".....when the cameras are not rolling, he's still going to behave like a "lone warrior", not a jolly party animal. He does this on every film, and it's not just a case of him ignoring the "little people" on set and trying to be a diva. It's how he gets results in his acting. On DEJA VU, he didn't want to meet Jim Caviezel before any of their scenes together, because he felt he shouldn't have interaction with the guy playing his "enemy" (even though Washington and Caviezel had been on friendly terms before the film, and played basketball together). Caviezel said it was a weird way to work, but he admired Washington so much, and he felt that Washington's approach made their scenes more tense and believable. On MAN ON FIRE, Washington spent a portion of the movie ignoring Dakota Fanning (an 11 year old kid, fer chrissakes), because his character was supposed to have emotional issues and didn't want to befriend the kid. As soon as Washington character became a "father figure" to Fanning in the film, in real life, Washington did the exact same thing in real life. He stopped ignoring Fanning, and started treating her like his own kid. His whole "method" thing is that he wants to simulate real feelings and behavior by acting it out in real life, not just "faking it" for the camera. It may be bizarre, but it clearly works for him. He's very indebted to Stanislavski.

Clive Owen said on the DVD for INSIDE MAN that he invited Washington out for a drink during filming, and Washington turned him down flat. He basically said that he didn't intend to go drinking with the guy who is meant to be his adversary in the movie. After filming was finished, Washington and Owen became very friendly, but Washington didn't want to "like" Owen while they were making the film. Owen realises the way Washington works, and that he isn't trying to be a d ick, and now he can't stop praising Washington enough in interviews. Even though he basically "dissed" him by saying he didn't want to go drinking and be best friends while filming.

Idris Elba said that on the set of AMERICAN GANGSTER, he never got to find out what "Denzel" was really like, because he was so into his role, even when cameras were not rolling. Denzel didn't want to socialise with Elba (again, because he's playing his "enemy"). Denzel was cold towards Elba in real life, because he wanted it to feel "real" in the film (ultimately, Elba said he understood why Denzel did this, and admires his dedication). Conversely, Washington was sociable with the actors playing his brothers (like Chiwetel Ejiofor and Common), because he wanted to simulate a brotherly relationship with them that transferred into the movie.

When he's not on films sets, Washington is supposed to be a sociable, easygoing guy. But he takes this whole "method" thing pretty seriously. I actually think most actors admire the way he works, even if they don't know what to make of it at first. Because they know it produces results, for him and them. Rhada Mitchell, Washington's co-star on MAN ON FIRE, said that Washington's dedication to his character was inspirational to her, and made every actor on the set raise their game to keep up with him. And Washington wasn't super-friendly towards Mitchell while filiming either (though she says he was like a different, funnier, much less intense person, when they met after the film). Mitchell basically said that she's used to working with actors who chill out between takes, and talk about their swimming pools and agents. And Washington isn't like that. After filming, she asked Washington for advice in approaching his craft, and he told her to always inject her feelings into scenes, and avoid "faking it". Mitchell took his advice to heart, and has started passing it along to other actors. Jonathan Rhys Meyer actually said in an interview that Mitchell told him about Washington's approach, and that's the way he wants to start working.
