where do you se that? I went on the website and is still able to apply as normal...I didn't anything closed or pending unless it met the deadline. I'm confused
When you go to NYC housing connect, you should apply for lottery. Look then on lottery deadline date/project status. As you see, when is deadline date passed - lottery status: Lottery Pending or Closed. All lotteries with future deadline in current status. It's just the lotteries with Deadline passed/the end of May and in June current year. You don't see there : Tenant selection in progress.
Tenant selection won't show because it takes time. For example lottery advertising goes out when the building is approx 70% complete. At the deadline they have to put all log numbers out first. Then they start sending interview letters that's when they will put tenant selection. Some take longer than others due to high demand.
Look on those deadlines: 5/5/2015, 5/27/2015, 6/1/2015, 6/1/2015, 6/8/2015, 6/10/2015, 6/11/2015. It's shows: Lottery Pending or Closed. And 5/1/2015, 5/13/2015 it's shows: Tenant selection in progress. Those Lotteries, ladies, depend on Rent Regulation Law and 421 Tax credit for builders. They waiting now on that LAW. And WE too...
Different developments take different times frames. Because 5/5/15 says pending which means they still getting the number and 5/13/15 says tenant selection. So it shows that some developments take longer. All hope isnt lost now the luxury buildings that are like 80/20 those are the ones to be "worried" about. The buildings that were set for the affordable housing promise during bloomburg like the elton projects should have more leway. Just keep praying and stay positive
Congratulations Vivalatash. Continue to pray for us who are still waiting.
