crwnhtsresident that worries me because i had a 1099 on my last form (i too freelance sometimes), i brought 3 years of tax returns, and when i offered them, my intake person TOLD ME TO KEEP THEM! that's insane.
Check your mailbox daily... and get those returns ready!!! Apparently the rejections aren't being emailed, so if you miss the window for an appeal due to not checking your mail, I don't know what chance you may have.
Found out my rejection was tripped up by a 1099 form on my last tax return (I do some freelance work) and so they required tax returns back to 2013. This was not stated in the original email I got, so I didn't know to bring them. I called and emailed for 2 days before I finally got someone on the phone - who tried to make me come in for an appeal .... between 9-5, M-F. I explained those hours were not possible, I just started a new job, can't take off work, etc etc. We went back and forth, finally I got to talk to a supervisor - whose name I won't give out but was incredibly rude. She finally agreed to take my missing tax forms via email without an appeal... we'll see what happens. :/
Did you get confirmation that she received it? Always get confirmation so you have back up if anyone questions you. Wish you luck on this process.
So I actually just called and had an insanely unhelpful person on the phone -- she said she "wasn't taking questions" and "didn't know anything about any rejection letters." Great. Cool. Love to have my fate decided by the US Postal system.

No, but I just moved and I'm worried I'm not getting all my mail (USPS mail forwarding has frequently lost my mail). I wanted to call and see if I could find out if they'd rejected me -- which set the person on the phone OFF. So rude.

send an email, I got a response when i sent an email. list your log number in the subject line and your question.
I haven't gotten an e-mail response (yet) and no paper mail, either. Just gonna try and meditate on through it. All you can do, really!
