Buddy...when do you see people posting negative racial posts at blacks and latinos? I'll answer that for you. In threads whère crimes and the such involve blacks and latinos. Would it offend you less if people posted "but but, white people do stuff too!!"? That's not how it works. When the Bernie Madoff thing was going down, did you come on here and say "man that's horrible....but guys you realize black people have defrauded people right? I'm just sayin..." ? But your logic is, again, disingenuous and it makes no sense. So as long as the race of the subject correlates with the thread, it's okay to reduce people on welfare to their race/ethnicity?! Your argument is faulty because many times there isn't a specific case of welfare that is mentioned, it's just a general thread about welfare overall and somehow it's reduced to blacks & Latinos. If you want to act like what I'm saying has not occurred on this forum, you're free to do so.

Question. Would you get all bent out of shape seeing threads where people come down on baby pooping, scummy white trash and their mooching ways in places like West Virginia? Methinks that you'd agree. Well, in nyc it's overwhelmingly blacks and Latinos who make up this crew of winners. Sure you have your whities who live like that here. And you have your blacks that live like that there. But this perpetual cycle of poverty that exists here is as a whole comprised of certain people. So that's what people talk and get all racialist about when on the topic of welfare rats.

Honestly, I'll let you and everyone else have it and say that yes, 99% of the welfare cheats and fraudsters not just in NYC (but in the entire country) are black and hispanic. The blacks are of southern american ancestry not the "good" blacks like the africans and caribbeans. They would NEVER step foot in a welfare office. They're too "hard working" for that. The one white person reported in this story is really an aberration.

What the gov't needs is better data tools to catch these low lives. If the gov't can spend billions on huge data centers spying on us i'm sure they can easily connect the dots to catch this type of fraud. Couple with a work to welfare program it should stop many of these cases from happening. If you own a cash business, and were forced to do 10-20 hours of community service, would it be worth your time to collect gov't money?
They already have work to welfare for cash services. Mind you, they could require that for all government services, including medicaid (unless the person was seriously disabled).

Perhaps people get bent out of shape because there's finger pointing, yet no positive solutions to the problem. How would you curtail welfare mooching (while keeping in mind some people really do need help, especially permanently disabled).
If something was actively done about the problem (funding to these programs cut, eligibility revised and reduced,etc.) there wouldn't need to be any talk about race, because the problem would be resolved and OVER.
But I get the impression complainers like to complain in perpetuity, without actively trying to solve the problem.
But if its any consolation, funding to government programs has been cut in recent years and each year said programs get an additional slash. Evictions in NYC are up big time, as you cannot easily get government support in paying your rent like you used to. And with funding to the courts cut back, they more or less rubber stamp evictions if there is no evidence of ability to pay or proof of payment.
