Some people claim that NYC is accepting, but I don't really find that to be true.
MY advice to you is to stick around fellow transients. Your kind is the largest demographic in the city at this moment.

You're Ghanaian American, and not African American.

Basing an opinion off of social media? LOL yeah sounds about right. Do people live in reality anymore?

You are always being stereotyped. That's how it works.

My kind? You make it seem like there's a special club, when in fact it doesn't work that way. I can't say that I'll necessarily get along with those who are from the Midwest. -Perhaps, but not always. Anyhow, I'm open to meeting all different types of people.

I just really dislike the stereotypes that are placed on black American women. People in NYC tend to be much harsher with their judgments.

When I say this, people act very differently. They tend to be nicer. I imagine it's because Ghanaian women don't have any real negative stereotypes about their group, well at least not in NYC.

It's not only online that I've witnessed the negative stereotypes being spewed, it's definitely offline as well.

Black women who date interracially are often ridiculed and called horrible names. I don't want to experience that headache.
