Henna, I'd be more concerned about GETTING IT from the cab or Uber driver.
Yeah. I just took a Uber on Saturday (that was before I knew the uber guy from Far Rockaway had it) and I was thinking the exact same thing while I was sitting there. Since then, as much as possible, I've been walking everywhere. I'd try biking but I'm more afraid of getting run over than getting the virus.
I’m sure the guard will help but every major event we’ve had since I’ve been here (9/11, transit strikes, 2004 RNC, Sandy, etc) led to extended periods of 12 hour tours for the NYPD.
The MLB needs to suspend opening season baseball, or have no fan attendees. If MLB shutsdown or have no fans during live games, this will hurt busineses around Yankee Stadium and Citi Fields.
The Wuhan Virus outbreak goes against one of the great false beliefs of liberals and progressives, that population density is good for you. Disease spreads quickly through crowded areas. This virus is also showing that maybe cities are not really necessary in the age of high-speed internet connections.
I am probably the most progressive person on this board and I think the problem is OVER-population, not population density, although they are clearly linked. THe world needs to establish MANDATORY BIRTH CONTROL and run with it dfor at least a Century and then criminalize all religions, or at least tax them into oblivion.
For anyone thinking population density is the problem with Covid, do some reading about the Black Death of the 14th Century and leprosy of biblical times.
I wish we could BELIEVE this but since the Post is a major Trump booster (whose goal is lying about Covid severity) I have to take it with a grain of salt.
