Exactly. That's the biggest no no of all for a lawyer. A lawyer can be as corrupt as hell and commit all kinds of crimes but if they get caught knowingly lying to a judge in court they are in in deep doo doo. It's considered the foundation of the legal profession .... not necessarily honesty and integrity outside of court but honesty inside a court before a judge.

Some would say Rudy participated in violent insurgency, however that is not why he was disbarred. Easy to make claims- hard to back it up in a court. But it was fairly easy to do in the case of Rudy. I hope you will read the court documents and understand why the courts had not other choice. It was unanimous.
