Hello everyone. Weekends arent as much fun being unemployed so I have spent the day working on communications on EB. Im learning fast the world of twit! Do we have any idea how many people will be in Charlotte Monday?
@Mod: I appreciate your wanting to keep us in check with rules of forum. I just hope you wouldn't punish us all when there's obviously a couple posters who keep bringing politics up! This is really the only place I can find to stay abreast of all going on with the EB issue. This is the single most important thing right now to alot of people. So if you could keep us open to communicate, deal with the others as needed. Thank you!
We're making some real progress on working toward a solution SunnyKayack. We really need this forum to help us plan on getting this bill passed. Thanks for keeping us up.
Well I'm in tears today. My other half went to file weekly EB certification and got the dreaded response when hit the submit button. Now we are in a total dire situation. What remains of my retirement will be gone through much sooner now and there are little to no employment ops in the area right now. In knowing the trends, through the years, its been the norm for hiring to increase around 1st of the year and again in Aug/Sept (after fiscal yr end and budget approvals), so we are in aggressive survival mode here. I'll be placing more of my business suits up for auction. I'm reconsidering my ability to get to Charlotte tomorrow. Gonna try to see what I can do to get there and see if I can get some folks to join me. Does anyone know a guesstimate on how many will be there to show support for EB?
