Looking to possibly buy there. Can anyone provide any opinions about buying, rental prospects, safety, the development overall? I have read the horror stories, just want to see what the current feelings are.

Thanks

I would pass on it if I was you! Bad reputatuion, trouble and a general dislike for the occupants and the trouble the community has brought to the area. I stayed there for a weekend back in 2006 longest weekend of my life!

You're joking, right? The place has not changed, at least not for the better.

Take it from someone who's owned a home and lived in PCP (and lived in two other places in Tobyhanna), RUN, don't walk away from PCP. Avoid Tobyhanna in general

Tobyhanna is like the Bronx, but in the middle of bumblef$%^. I'd say the same for Mt. Pocono.

Don't throw away your money because that's exactly what you'll be doing if you buy there...just do a search in this board for "APCP" or "A Pocono Country Place" and you'll see why...anywhere in Tobyhanna is a dump...save your money...go to your bank that you do business with and ask them if they have a list of foreclosed properties in other areas (all banks have this list) and see if you can get yourself a better deal somewhere else...

Even if someone pay me $2000 a month to get a free home by the lake there, I would pass.
