I'm sorry. Cold Stone Creamery is a Phoenix-area innovation. They are currently headquartered in suburban Scottsdale and have over 900 locations in 47 states. I think one of these would be awesome to have in Downtown Wilkes-Barre, which currently doesn't have an ice cream parlor. With 6,000 college students, 14,000 office workers, daily visitors, etc., I'm surprised no lurking NYC investors on this forum have taken my subliminal hint yet "ME WANT ICE CREAM PARLOR IN DA W-B!!!"

Where is "That" Shake Place? Is it the same as "The" Shake Place?

Why is it that whenever our area receives a little slice of NYC, it's always a disappointment?

A $5 tip at an ice cream place? Nevermind a little dance, they should come out and wash your car for you too.

That Shake Place is located on RT.348 between Hamlin and Mt.Cobb. To answer EnyaGirl's question, no it is not a chain, just a local ice cream stand.

Oops! This is the one I'm thinking of then. It has the sign along Route 348 that says "Voted Best Shakes in the Scranton Times," correct? There is also a pretty sexy Scion sedan that is for sale at the home next-door that I've been licking my lips over. It may just be my next major purchase!

That one along Route 348 in Mt. Cobb (near Hamlin) is "That Shake Place" that everyone was yammering about here. It's pretty good ice cream. I'm not sure which ice cream parlor is next to the Dunmore Dunkin' Donuts (how's that for alliteration?!) but there are others here who are current or former residents of Dunmore and could probably answer that one.
