Well, this turned into quite the discussion.

I wasn't trying to start a political argument about the cost of health care, y'all. I asked my neighbor, who's an INOVA nurse with four kids, about this. There really isn't anything except the one in Arlington, if you need any medical care when the regular urgent care centers are closed.

For anyone wanting to know about INOVA, their "emergency centers" are actually emergency rooms. Only their "urgent care" locations will be charged as urgent/immediate care on your insurance. The bottom line is that if you are in NOVA and have a minor, non-life-threatening emergency, you're stuck either going to Arlington (and probably waiting forever since it's the only one in the region), or sucking it up and waiting until a local urgent care opens at 7 or 8 AM.

I also didn't know the specifics of my health insurance (I'm on my partner's plan now, so I wasn't as familiar with the nuances of the coverage) and really don't have anyone to blame but myself on this one.
