I am a single mom of a 15 year old son moving to Hawaii. I am having a hard time getting solid answers about the high schools in Hawaii. I am being told that Moanalua or Roosevelt are the best ones to enroll my son in but then again I am being lead to believe that Kalani (?) and Campbell are better. My son is an A/B student with Honors and plays two musical instruments, though his athletic abilities are lacking. Is there any one out there that can give me feedback please? Thank you.

Aloha and Welcome, My suggestion would be to read this link, it shows the top highschools in Hawaii.
Your going to get different results from different people because in Hawaii locals take pride in where they come from but also each person value systems are different. If your looking for academic performance then the best public highschools are one the link i provided. Alot of people enroll there children in private
schools too because Hawaii public schools don't have the best rep for academic performance. But ive found alot of different highschools offer different things that are good and bad. Just depends on what your looking for or your values.
Maybe if your more clear on what your looking for?
Don't have kids but when I do, they will be going to Campbell. I am not paying $20K a year in tuition for a private school. I think if parents stay on top of kids enough, they can go to college, learn a trade, join the military, etc., and make a good living after graduating from any HS in Hawaii.

I think any new student in Hawaii would be at an advantage if they blended in, Asian looking, darker skin, anything but blonde/blue. However, I'm sure any blonde/blue would do better than the heathen child I had living with me while I was there. (campbell)
