Really nice pictures, and am I the only one that noticed home fries up there? You are right NorthwoodsZj, those pics can make you hungry.

Awesome photos, Cort!! I've seen bits of this thread before but I don't recall ever seeing it front to back... there's some really, really nice shots here!

Jumping back to the Buckeye thread... the photo of the courthouse that I was thinking of is really similar to the last one on your 2nd to the last picture post on this page (if that made any sense at all, lol).

I also really like the next photo up from that one... I don't know if it was intentional or not but you captured a little girl holding a sign that says "My Dad lost his job..." with a saddened look on her face. It's often said that a picture can say a thousand words... this one speaks far beyond that. Great shot!!
Thanks! I'm hungry for some chili dogs right now! LOL

That little girl with the sign is the only reason i posted that picture. I didn't even see her or the sign until i uploaded the pics. I was trying to get a shot down W. Market, but it didn't work out too well. Normally i'm walking and shooting fast so i feel good when i actually get a good shot or two.

I'm not a huge fan of their fries... once in a great while I may have some but not very often... I'll kill more than my share of chili-dogs w/onions though! (usually to the point of giving myself a stomach ache) LOL

^ We couldn't go on a walk together... at least not with a camera! LOL. I'm too easily distracted by photo opportunities. I'll stop for a minute to get a shot of something & the next thing you know it's 5 minutes later!

Ewe! at 10:00 in the morning??? You're weird!! J/K! I know, I've had them on the brain all day... I settled for a couple corn dogs once I got home, lol.

So, was I right about you taking the photo of the courthouse or was that someone else? I haven't been able to find it on here anywhere -- it's actually really starting to bug me now! LOL

^I think you might have got confused. Earlier in this thread i have a pic of the courthouse then immediately after that there's a pic of the fountain. Maybe your head combined the two????

I guess anything is possible... my head has hit the windshield a few times over the years . There is one on your last set that is very close to what I am thinking though. I'll have to go make my own photo I guess, LOL!

^You should come back for a visit...........unfortunately, it doesn't look quite like the same town it was 30 years ago. As much as some things have changed, many things are the same...........can't beat the people and the great Greek and Italian food.

CortlandGirl 79 - I'm the business editor at the Tribune and always wanted to see photos inside Packard after equipment was removed. I stumbled across this site and appreciated seeing your photos. I'm also working on an extensive history of Packard of events leading up to bankruptcy and would like to hear of your experiences if you're willing.
