High crime rate (top 10 highest in violent crime rates), high divorce rate (top 5). So much for Heartland values.

Why?
Because I can't speak Norwegian fluently yet.

As much as I don't like it here, even I wouldn't have guessed that crime statistic. I know about the divorce one.

Exactly.

Rarely is the crime here in OKC in your face. However, it is quite prevalent on the evening news. (Every place I've ever lived....virtually every major region in the U.S. except the Midwest, haven't lived there, had quite a bit of crime to report.)

I thought as a single "city guy" with some culture, there'd be plenty of Oklahoma women to choose from. Not so. Not that I think I'm God's gift to women, but I do have a lot going for me. There just aren't any single women 30-40 here without kids, as I said before. If they do exist, there's a good reason they haven't been married. Anyway, disappointing is the only word I have for it.
Head on down the Indian Nation. You will find that we have those same southern towns, pine forests and mountains you miss.

God who cares? If you want to live your life riding public transportation, go live in Europe.

I've been looking for a good weekend getaway other than Dallas. I almost went to the Arkansas mountains, but the cabins were booked. I'm not sure where to go.
