Oh, that makes me sad. Forty years ago, my father had a business in Anaheim and was acquainted with Carl Karcher. Every once in a while he brought us kids business cards "Good for a free cheeseburger" and signed by Mr. Karcher. I'm sorry the company is closing its local offices, but time marches on...

It Ca that's biting the dust. CKE will probably thrive in Tenn. RIP Carl Karcher

You're happy that a company is taking its tax base out of Orange County, and Orange County residents are losing their jobs?

Sucks, good luck OC good thing it's not the corporate headquarters, it seems that they are consolidating to their already corporate headquarters in Tennessee.

Let's be real, they were probably Riverside County residents.

As a business decision, I applaud them for moving their operations to a place that better suits them. They can get the same quality work/employees for half the price. Nashville is a pretty decent place.

Orange County is doing just fine economically; something else will take its place.

CKE ain't what it use to be. In my view, Puzder really screwed things up in the name of business expansion, acquisitions, and profit. It's really sad what happened to Karcher. I use to work for a corporate event planning company and CKE was a client of ours. There was nothing extraordinary about their franchise model and it's clear that their expansion in the west has tapped out. Moving out to TN probably makes a lot of sense, especially since they alienated the healthy diner options by removing their salad bars and grilled chicken items (chick-food)...they decided to make burgers their focus.

Meanwhile Chipotle is moving out of CO and into Newport Beach.
