The credit for todays question goes to my 2nd grade class of JR MG's
Yesterday one of them turned to me and said very "matter of fact"

Ms. Karla, what do you want to be when you grow up ?

The rest of the class though it was just a "dandy" question so

Todays question:

Today in history:

February 13, 1795 1st state university in U.S. opens, University of North Carolina

February 13, 1935 1st U.S. surgical operation for relief of angina pectoris, Cleveland

Word of the day:
perdurable \pur-DUR-uh-bul; pur-DYUR-\, adjective:
Very durable; lasting; continuing long.

Joseph Heller wrote a book titled "Something Happened". I read it while in college and don't remember much about it at all, except for one very profound line spoken by an adult in the story. He said, "When I grow up, I want to be a nine year old boy".

Think about the simplicity of life when you were nine. I'm 55. I think I'd have to agree with that.

I always tell my husband I am thinking about becoming a Trophy Wife. That usually cracks him up.

Happy Tortelinni Day! Who knew?

When I grow up? .... I am already retired so its not a professional goal like a fireman. I guess at this stage of my life I hope to be a good partner, a good parent and a wonderful grandfather. When I grow up I want to be interesting and interested.

I don't know what I want to be when I grow up! I'll be 42 in a week and a half....I've been a teacher and worked in social services.....right now I work from home. It's fine, but I've somehow lost that spark for my work!

The personal stuff is easy though--thank goodness! I want to be a good mom to my kids, be active and busy in my community---I want to continue to be a happy person

LOL! I am 52 and still don't know what I want to be when I grow up. I have also worked in social services. Right now I am a bored receptionist and looking for a change--at least from my current position!

Stay at home mom looking to retire in 10 years or so. Truthfully I don't know. I would love to work in a small plant nursery or an independent mom and pop bookstore. I have a degree in history but that won't get me anywhere without further education soooo don't know how sad.
