Default Todays question Wednesday 3-12-08

Good morning everyone
Well it is Wednesday and as I said in the exercise thread the lawn is calling my name so I will be getting up close and personal with the mower
I was having a conversation with my friend the other day and it gave me the inspiration for

Todays question:

Have you ever been asked to leave or been "kicked out" of anywhere ?

Today in history:

March 12, 1850 1st U.S. $20 gold piece issued - don't we all wish we had one of these tucked away somewhere
March 12 ,1912 - The Girl Scouts organization was founded.

Word of the day:

diffident \DIF-uh-dunt; -dent\, adjective:
1. Lacking self-confidence; distrustful of one's own powers; timid; bashful.
2. Characterized by modest reserve; unassertive.

Today is:

National Baked Scallops Day
and
National Workplace Napping Day this was created due to the popularity of Mondays take a nap day

and because I can

Today is National Go To Your Room day

Mike is getting pretty lonely being the only one sent to his room so upon reading this you must get up and GO TO YOUR ROOM !!!!!

I have been asked to leave a McDonald's before.
There is just so much bad service one person can take.

My friend and I were at a supermarket in Middletown NY years ago, met some guy at the meat dept. we started talking about how to cook various cuts, and he says, "I'm going to have to marry you". I said, "let's do it now." We strolled over to produce, arm in arm, picked out some broccoli for my bouquet, then went over to the newspaper to fashion a veil (how did we do that), then my friend started singing "here comes the bride" as we waltzed down the frozen food isle. We were laughing hysterically. The manager came over and escorted us out.

My friend and I still laugh about it to this day. Never did get the guy's name, though

When I was a junior in high school, a few of my friends and I bought tickets for some movie, and then just walked into the movie we actually wanted to go to. (was rated R) ... apparently security noticed but they were nice enough to just let us go back to the movie we bought tickets for, or leave.

That's the only thing I can remember, I guess I'm just a good person all around.

Hooray for girl scouts, I <3 the cookies! (Samoas)
Hooray for "Nap at Worplace Day!" - can't have enough naps!

Good question Karla. Everyone have a good day - and try not to get kicked out of a public place, or sent to your rooms!

Can't think of anywhere I've been asked to leave. Boring, huh?

Anyway, I loved baked scallops too. But I have too many leftovers in the fridge that have to be eaten first. Maybe I'll have some leftover ham with Scalloped potatoes. Does that work???

Have a great day, all. I will...I'm still smiling from some of these stories. Now, I have to go to my room!
