I remember when everytime you turned around there were those happy faces and "Have a good day" written below them.
I remember when it was popular to dye poor bunnies, chicks and ducks during Eastertime and sell them. The poor things died shortly thereafter from the dye.
I remember when there were very few choices in frames for glasses so everyone wore dirky looking glasses.
I remember having a station wagon where the furthest seats back faced out the back window. Everyone back there ended up getting carsick.
I remember when Mr. Potato Head came with the pieces, like the eyes, nose, etc., but you used a REAL potato.
I'm so old I remember :
Wearing "dorky" glasses when I was a kid back in the 60's
mimeograph machines (they were invented this day way way back)
Being able to wear pants under our dresses on snowy days but having to take them off and leave them in our locker once we got to school
When an order of french fries in the school cafeteria was 15 cents
Bedtime was after the Mickey Mouse Club show was over
which meant during the summer
Going to be when it was still light out
When tie dyed first came out , taking white t-shirts and a bunch of rubber bands and making our own
Which led to
Going around with blue or red or purple hands for a few days
I'm so old that many of the "I'm so old" posters were a twinkle in their grandfathers eyes.
