I just opened a can of "condensed" soup. It takes one can of water to reconstitute it. I remember when condensed soup took three cans of water to reconstitute. Had to scoop the soup out with a spoon and use a whisk to mix it up with the milk or water. Not any more.

That was before I was born. Nana mixed the Campbells soup with one can of water. It may have been more for the pea soup. She was born in the 1890s.

Watching Secretariat win the Triple Crown June 1973 !

An unbelievable win by 31 lengths ! So exciting ! This was on Wide World of Sports.

It’s important to note that Secretariat American Triple Crown, setting and still holding the fastest time record in all three races. He is considered by most to be the greatest racehorse of all time.

I remember seeing Secretariat on the cover of Time Magazine “Super Horseâ€

This beautiful horse is such an inspiration then and now that miracles really do happen !

It’s worth watching the movie especially the last five minutes. Such a great recreation. Exactly how I remember watching the race on TV !

When Secretariat retired at the Claiborne Ranch visitors could go visit him and have a photo taken. Wish I knew that, I would have made a special trip to see this most incredible, beautiful horse.

I'm so old I remember the evenings when suddenly the power was cut. Or the gas. It was fun for us children.

My mom could not cook and since there was no fast food in Communism and no pre-made meals to buy anywhere (empty stores)...she had to wake up at 2 in the morning and cook for a few hours because power and gas were OK during the night.
For her, it was not fun.

I remember when landfills were dumps, strip malls were plazas and pre-owned cars were used.
