I remember the shock when the newspaper printed the word "Rape" in an article.

I worked and rode with a traveling circus as a teenager in the 70's.
("George Mathews Great London Circus from England")
We slept and eat outside just like a wagon train.

I remember when tv dinners were the rage and came in aluminum trays.

I remember when Jiffy Pop was new and the commercial showing the foil cover growing bigger and bigger.

I remember when parents would use honey to give their babies medicine or a spoonful of liquor to help them sleep.

I remember when billboards advertising cigarettes were everywhere.

I remeber when there was no such thing as microwaves, cordless phones, cell phones, camcorders, color tv's, DVD's or players, video games, VHS tapes or players, music using electricity only by record players.

Yes, outside to play games like:
- kick ball
- flashlight tag (at night of course)
- Freeze tag
- Kick the can
- Dodge ball
- Basketball
- Sharks and minnows
- regualar tag
- around the world and HORSE (basket ball game)
- Monkey in the middle
- Ring and Run
- Tag football
Other things that I would do was ride my bike 5 miles away to go and buy candy.
- Go wading in the lake that we lived near, that was about 3 miles away and I would ride my bike to that lake
- Play in the creek
- In the summer hang at the pool.
Ah, the times when everything was much more safer.
