Just be thankful it wasn't something REALLY stinky!
My middle son likes to try new foods. He managed to find something called Kim-Chee, a Korean condiment that is fish based. Whatever is in there smells dead and when spilled on carpet, it never quite goes away.
Did I mention I now have a hardwood floor in my living room!

That's cuz it's also cabbage that's fermented for a long time, too. Ick.

I hope this isn't the same desk with the new computer?
I've done the same thing and it requires washing rewashing and rewashing again before ya' can get the sticky smelly coffee & creamer smell out of the furniture.
