I am LOVING it!

Fin: If you're out there, thanks so much for mentioning it. And yes, Swede is like me. When I first started reading it I was confused and thought you meant I reminded you of Reuben, the narrator. I kept thinking, no, Fin, I'm like Swede. Had to go back and read your post, lol. (But Swede is a better poet.)

It's beautifully written. And intelligent. They just got the trailer so I think it's time to get back to it. Night everyone. Sleep tight.

My problem is I can't remember to watch a show. It's very rare for me to catche every show in a season. Then I miss an entire next season because I miss the memo that it's airing again.

I've watched Lie To Me. I liked it well enough to watch it whenever I saw it on, but I haven't seen a whole season. The other shows I've never heard of. I'll check them out on netflix. I watched all seasons of Weed within a month. I love watching an entire series all at once!

Have you seen Rubicon? I liked the first season last year. The second season should be back soon.

I'd say The Killing is my favorite. It's based on a Danish show, and is quirky and different to the endless procedural cop shows. We have just started watching Sons of Anarchy on Netflix too. I haven't seen Rubicon, I'll have to check it out.

I like Son's of Anarchy. Check out Breaking Bad if you haven't seen it. I'll try The Killing.

I'm upset. I just googled Rubicon to see when the second season would air, and it was CANCELLED! It was an unusual series, slow moving---you really had to use your head to watch it. Not light fluff. Not at all. No way. Guess the masses didn't want a series that made them think. You're right. We're in the wrong demographic.

Morning all!

Went off to NYC yesterday. We were going to stay overnight but just made a day trip out of it.

I love it there. We went down to ground zero which was very sad. But also went into grand central station after catching the subway back uptown - I've never been there, what a magnificent place!

Dew - I'm glad you're enjoying it, you know how sometimes a character makes you continually think of someone you know, well I was sure Swede was just like you.

I missed MrsX! Good to see you - congrats on your novel, how fantastic.

Morning!

Finster - sounds like a good day! I've never been to NYC. The plan next year when we do the big trip with our son to Italy (hopefully that what he picks), we want to spend a few days.

We just hurried up and mowed and put some seed down in bad spots in the back in anticipation of more rain and possible snow.

Yes, the doggie issue! It does seem pointless as she'll ruin it again anyway, but it's worth a shot I suppose.

The lilacs are so amazing right now!

My lilacs were weird this year. Not sure what happened. I have one really big lilac bush and it has one smallish section that is leafy and blooming - the rest of it is still trying to leaf out and I don't see any blooms....last year, I had blooms all over the place. I have 4 other smaller lilacs that I just planted last year. 2 of them have a few blooms but it will be a few years before I see too much there. I am hoping my peonies fare better....

Did you cut the blooms last year? I think (think!) lilacs bloom off of last years growth or something. It's possible that's why the lack of blooms this year.

I cut down a huge one last year because it was crowding out our pinon pine. So it will be a few years before we get anything from that. The rest are doing great.
