I love Drover. He's from the Pittsburgh forum, although he lives elsewhere now. He's good at holding his own and not getting emotional, can be very witty.

I think that poster might be more at home in the Politics thread. Speaking of which, I have been reading through a lot of the posts/garbage there the last few days and boy howdy are there some racist, bigoted, ignorant a-holes in that forum. Makes me appreciate Julia here because there seems to be no mod over there weeding out such hateful rhetoric.

I consider myself a centrist/moderate and am a registered Republican who voted Democrat in 2000 and 2008 and I am telling you I am this close to switching parties or at least going Independent just so I don't have to be associated with people like that. It truly is disgusting in that forum and yet I can't stop reading. Good thing I have extremely low blood pressure.

Now pass me a pina colada please.

I post there in spurts. Every now and then you have to take a sanity break.

So....we know jkcoop had pancakes for dinner....what about everyone else? I cooked last night which means leftovers tonight. I rarely cook 2 days in a row anymore.... I grilled what I thought was a TON of chicken last night (mostly drumsticks because that's what everyone goes for first anyway) but all that's left is one breast now. To be fair, we had DS plus a friend over for dinner - and the boys had been aerating lawns for a few hours...but geez...I also had coleslaw (gone), deviled eggs (gone) and corn on the cob (gone). Angelfood cake with berries for dessert (also gone - but I'll admit I had more than my share of that....it was soooooo good)....

As a centrist/moderate, I find that conservatives accuse me of being liberal and liberals accuse me of being conservative.

Got it.

Kathleen, I can't post in the Politics forum anymore. I could feel my blood pressure going up. It's awful, and the posters I was spending all my time on just aren't worth my time. One in particular.
