Morning all!

Anyone else ever come to the conclusion that dental insurance is a total waste? It's that time of year (does seem like an odd time) with DH's company to make and changes in regards to insurance. Of course, all premiums are going up - but the worst is the dental insurance.

Morning! Happy Friday-before-a-long-weekend everyone.....which reminds me. I need to have DH put up a new flagpole holder on the house. The wind took our flag down awhile back and snapped the metal holder in two at the same time (flagpole was screwed into holder).....

I think we are child-free this weekend....unless DD decides to come down. DS left yesterday with a friend's family to their lake condo.....Not sure what we'll do....No specific plans....What about everyone here? Doing anything exciting?

What were you thinking? You are bringing up insurance issues with Mrs X in the room? Do you want her to lose it?

It's pretty close for us....once the kids are gone, I'll definitely be reassessing. Our dental paid for some of the kids braces plus we've both had crowns and deep cleanings and a few other treatments so I think we still come out somewhat ahead with 4 of us on the plan....when there are only 2....we'll see.

Mrs. X - tell me how you really feel!

I'm considering dropping it and just getting a discount dental plan (which we once had when self employed). Then just take what were paying in premiums now and set it aside. Right now they are rejecting the 4th quadrant work done on my DH's scaling. Saying it's has been done more than allowed in a certain time period.... so they will pay for 3 quads but that 4th one no? I see that our dental office keeps resubmitting it.

And of course, the ones they did "pay for" they only paid a portion. So we've still paid money out of pocket. Grrrr.....

LOL! I ripped a medical billing company a new one a few weeks back. It was one of my worst letters ever which I forwarded onto the Texas Medical Board, BBB and a whole slew of other people.

I just got a note back from the BBB and the operations manager because of my letter stating that they are now reconsidering how there systems and implementing what I stated so they could further avoid complaints like mine.
