I never cease to be amazed by some of the things that get posted on this forum.

So, because my kid might become a homely little acne ridden teenager at 16 who can't get a date, I shouldn't fawn over him and tell him he's cute when he's 2?
Really?

I think I am missing something here...

ELAINE: Well, to tell you the truth, Dr. Feffa, I , I was surprised to hear you use a word like breathtaking to describe a baby, I mean, because you also used it referring to me.

BEN FEFFA: Well, you know Elaine, sometimes you say things just to be nice. [Walks away, leaving Elaine confused]

Looks do matter.
Children are beautiful and they become more so, the closer you are to them

That's the funniest thing I've heard/seen all day.

I have alawys thought 99% of babies are ugly. The look like buddah

All kids are cute from about 1.5 through at least 6. Certianly there are times when they are not cute at all. FOr most kids cuteness lasts until 12 or 13, even beyond.

Cuteness is not about how someone looks, but about how they act and how they percieve the world.

Now my kids are older, I have no idea whether they are considered attractive. I have to ask their siblings. "Is ** considered good looking?" "Yes dad everyone in my grade considers him a hottie" I do not know what is attractive by today's standrds.

That's false. Are you telling me that if one of your kids was horribly disfigured in an accident, you would consider them less attractive than before?
