My kid would yelp when those wipes were cold. Right on his junkie. Poor guy.
I never used wipes. I chose soap and water instead. The daycare center obliged my preference too.

I loved the baby shoes. I kept them and had them bronzed as keepsakes for the grandparents and myself. Often, they were a gift from friends and family. So tiny and sweet. My baby got used to wearing shoes and I didn't have the issue of not wanting to wear shoes that many people go through.

I used my diaper genie too. I got 80% of my stuff second hand from my friends and family. That left the fun cute items for the baby shower.

That is what we preferred but was not always convenient.

Even for me (an adult), I prefer washing stuff off me rather than just mashing it around.

Thank you Hopes and Mattie. Sometimes it doesn't pay to try to be helpful.

I didn't have any of the things on the list except for some designer clothes I bought at discount stores. I had a diaper genie and used it. Boy did that thing stink after a while. My MIL did buy baby shoes but, as the list said, they were a waste. I think they were worn once.

My son is 2 now and barely wears shoes. They are just for outside.

Oh no! Don't feel that way! It takes all types of posts to make this forum interesting. Thanks for posting.

I personally find the wipe warmer useless.

I kept a water bottle, soap, and paper towels in the diaper bag and cars. That way I could throw away the paper towels instead of holding onto dirty washcloths to take home. I was anti-wipes because they cause diaper rash. My children never had diaper rash once. I never used any of the lotions and powders either. Just soap and water.

Wipes may have caused rashes in you children (some kids are sensitive to them)....however, they do not 'cause diaper rash' in all children across the board.

We used wipes, A&D ointment sometimes....but not the powder or other cremes.....and no rashes either.
