Urgh the local emergency room is soon going to be on first name terms with my kid. She fell off her scooter today and possibly broke her finger We were there only a few weeks ago for a splinter she wouldn't let us remove!

My son knew the ER people personally because he played sports and was always getting minor injuries like sprained ankles that might have been broken. He was very well-coordinated, but still got injuries.

He's got a year still but with my kiddo the eldest heading off for the wild blue college yonder and his brother only two scant years behind him ... I gotta just say I'm feeling an empty nest syndrome thing and they're not even gone. I need to take a step back on the worry and sad deal and enjoy them while they're home!

Maybe he should have got a frequent flyer discount!

Luckily I think my kid's finger was just sprained, not broken, as she was able to bend it at the end of the evening so no need to go back for x-rays today.
