I saw a birth certificate for a "Latrina" back when I was a public health nurse and we got all the birth certificates in our region. One of our nurses said "maybe they should have just named her Toiletta". I suspect the teen mom did not know what a latrine was. I feel horrible thinking back on this. This was in the 70's and a little girl who road on my bus was named La Trina. And we gave her hell because we were being terrible, mean children and someone had looked up the word "latrine", not a word we had been familiar with before. I wish I could apologize to that kid.
For some reason, it seems like "Hunter" is given by liberals who think that actual hunting is barbaric. Never quite understood the idea of naming your son something that you'd never want him to be.

I'm not familiar with the Real Monsters. I had to google it. Until then I thought it was a made up name that combined the names of two people or initials or something.
OP--name the baby Oblina and know that if this forum is representative of the people the child will meet during her life, most people will think it's an odd name. Definitely not cute.
I don't know Real Monsters, either, but I found the name awkward and definitely not feminine or pretty, as the OP seemed to think.
Of course we each have our opinions. I remember being shocked on this forum once when someone said she loved "Addison" for a baby girl because it was so feminine. It means "Son of Adam" and was also the name of the disease that JFK had. I couldn't see the femininity there, but someone else did.
The other one that puzzles me is that "Hazel" is making a comeback. For those of us of a certain age, the name will always be associated with a loud, obnoxious maid with a grating accent.
