I think it's because of these two lines:

1. ". . . according to a feasibility study released to the Delaware River Waterfront Corporation board Friday."

2. "Now comes a tricky part: Raising the $250 million."
Study: Penn's Landing makeover would bring $1.8 billion in growth

I enjoy seeing plans envisioning possibilities, but I prefer to see construction/destruction. This brings me to the corner of 15th and Walnut. Progress!

I hope the new building will be as attractive as the schematics.

That's my point. Why is raising the funds even an issue? How much public spending ends up bringing back even a fraction of this economic impact? If we had strong decisive leaders this would be funded tomorrow. Of course we don't, so say hello to short term spending cuts over sound long term investment.

It is nice to see something finally happening at 15th and walnut. It seemed as though they've been doing nothing there for months and months after they first fenced the buildings off. Everyday I'd walk past looking for some sign of progress and see nothing. Then suddenly in a week they tear down half the buildings.

I want to know when the first phase will be completed.
And some of you guys will hate me, but I am glad that they are using the LED billboard.
