There are a few good ones, but most new and old leaders in Philadelphia are underwhelming. I think someone who truly cares about the city might be able to get more accomplished outside of the political arena, but in most cases that requires a lot of money, time, patience and passion.
Of course we are drifting away from the thread topic. The city, imo, missed a huge opportunity when it did not elect Sam Katz as mayor. You mentioned preservation. That kind of thing is huge with him.

True and what did it get Obama or the country? Mostly anything he did got flipped via executive order, court decisions, and legislation. Even Affordable Care has been hacked away on both sides to the point where people have again, lost coverage. The only real thing it got him is a 10 year reduction in life expectancy via stress. The man looked 20 years older when he stepped out of office.

This is, of course, the wrong thread for this discussion but the presidency does age people particularly the ones who have been honorable.

No, he wanted to get rich from using his public office. Community Organizer to Richard Branson and David Geffen's yachts in three easy steps!

Haha. Yeah, that should be everyone's get-rich-quick scheme. Get elected to the Pesidency and then hang out with Richard Branson and Geffen.

Dammit. It was so obvious!

Lol, President Bush once said that the years as a president is like dog years,. One year President equals 7 normal years.

Anyhoo,

I went to the fresh grocer on Broad Street. Wasn't crowded but they are still slowly replenishing shelves. Cereal and paper products are gone but the produce section was nicely stocked
