Why would anybody in their right mind, want to legally support and encourage behavior that PROVES to be harmful to many people?

Then maybe you better start taking inventory of what your friends and family are eating. I'm sure most of them aren't eating a completely healthy diet. It must be a heavy weight on your shoulders, what with being appointed by God to let everyone around you know what is and isn't harmful to them.

Your projection is helpful... It is true that many (not all) with homosexual fetishes are attempting to force acceptance of their fetishes on everyone - even legally - in this country.
And it is true that many have suffered for it.
Even if you don't care what people do behind closed doors, and don't care if they legally support a harmful disorder or not...
You might care if such measures to redefine marriage based on sexual fetishes, infringed on YOUR rights, as they have on others'.

*Freshmen were told not to tell their parents about a pro-gay seminar & were required to sign a confidentiality agreement (Derrfield, Illinois Mar. 2007).
*In March, 2007, a Massachusetts high school banned parents from attending a seminar for students on how they can know they are homosexual.
*In October, 2008, First graders (6 year-old students) were taken on a field trip to watch their lesbian teacher's wedding.
*In Oct 2008, a Hayward CA public elementary school celebrated "Coming Out Day."
Normalizing & even encouraging children to explore homosexuality obviously causes more to experiment with homosexuality.

No, it doesn't. Sexual orientation is not a choice. Being gay (and bisexual, for that matter) is a much harder life than being heterosexual. Why would someone choose to be discriminated against? Also, how do you know what a silent, invisible being wants? If you're going to go with the Bible being evidence, that's an epic fail. The Bible was written by ancient men thousands of years ago who never actually communicated with this silent, invisible being either.
If you notice, the OP mentions NOTHING about religion.
The argument stands by itself... the practice of homosexuality is both illogical and harmful - according to basic human anatomy and the US CDC.
Still, people who really know me (nobody on this forum) - know that I would do anything for anyone I care about - including family and friends with homosexual preferences. Nobody's perfect... but I won't pretend harmful behavior is healthy.

Supporting gays is supporting to rid yourself of freedom of speech and expression. We criticize you but you do not criticize us. That is how homosexuals act.
We want what we want. It just IS. I can't help being heterosexual any more than they can help being homosexual.
It can be harmful when it is forced on another, but the same can be said for heterosexual "practices".
As for the bigots, the argument is lost when you reduce homosexuality to sex, body parts and what goes where. This speaks to your perversion, not theirs.
It's not a matter for anyone to approve of or disapprove outside of the relationship. God or no god, it's no one's business. As long as no one is being forced into it, mind your own. Homosexuality is not something that is being done to you. It's not happening to you. It's not about you. You're just not that important. If you believe in God, let him handle it. He did create them, after all.

Is HIV as prevalent with lesbians as heterosexual women?
SuperSoul, your logic here actually argues in favor of homosexual relationships since homosexual women have far lower rates of HIV transmission, if any, via their homosexual sex compared to heterosexual sex. While hetero women are at significantly higher risk than homosexual sex. That's your logic, but will you acknowledge it? No. Given that your logic and fallacy schmallacy arguments are full of fail, why should anyone take you as an authority on the word of God. Why do you take yourself as an authority to speak for God?
