We live where the hospital once sat and have had some creepy things happen!!! Eeek! I would just love to know more info! Thanks!!!
The Camelback Hospital was actually a pyschiatric hospital and also a rehab. The rehab part wasn't like the kind they have nowadays. My girlfriend's mother was a psych nurse there and a lot of local celebrities were spotted there from time to time. Great location. The hospital was there before people started building homes there. Also, there used to be a beautiful mansion on the South West corner of 32nd Street and Camelback. Now that is all office buildings and a little strip mall across the street.

Default Cheeks

My girlfriend and I used to go there - we sure had a good time and that was long before the tough DUI laws.

Lorretta Young bought the large house on Central and Glendale, southwest corner. She remodeled it for wayward girls but ended up selling it.

I grew up in that area. We referred to the big house on the south west corner of Camelback and 32nd Street as the Tempelton Mansion.

Cheeks / Opps

I missed the header and thought you and your girl had good times at the Camelback Hospital. Now it would be because of the tough DUI laws.

My uncle took care of the landscaping at the Templeton mansion during the 60's, 70's and early 80's.
