The resorts along Camelback are nice and offer proximity to downtown. If you want R and R, you might consider the Boulders. It's kind of far outside of town, but the grounds are beautiful and it's a really relaxing getaway. A plus to coming this time of year is you can stay at the resorts for less.

Staying at the Biltmore is really neat, lots of history there. You really can't go wrong at any of the resorts up there; they're all nice.

If you like to gamble though, check out Talking Stick. There's a Top Golf right there which is fun. Downtown Scottsdale also has some cool hotels. Saguaro is one that looks neat though I've never stayed and Valley Ho. I would definitely recommend staying around there. Lots of restaurants, museums, etc. there's also a really good gelato place by the museum of contemporary art. And I recommend eating at the Mission. Great food.

If you're headed to Scottsdale, I think Gainey Suites Hotel is pretty nice. I had a reservation booked there with a woman until she flaked on me but that's a whole other thread.
