No doubt LA takes the win on overall climate but Phoenix has a long run of excellent climate once summer is finished. My take is that if you have the means to afford a nice lifestyle in LA, that's great but if you have an income under $250K, Phoenix offers a better lifestyle.

I’d like to thank an anonymous poster for the rep points here admitting how racist you are. Can’t even say who you are yet have fun being a racist.

kinda sad but very true...wonder how long that will continue, with the endless string of natural disasters there, and, of course, the goofy political climate ...

I lived in LA to go to FIDM. Hated every minute living there, loved the school though.

I love living in Phoenix more than I ever thought I would. Just wish it was easier to make friends is all.

The summers are only super hellish from July to September. The rest of the time its tolerable.

I have a small bungalow-type home here. It's not because I can't have anything larger (I could), but I don't feel this need to have a gargantuan house when there's so much else going on outside of my home that I can partake in (museums, galleries, year-round farmers markets, festivals, hiking, educational activities).

Yes, it gets hot here too.

But the key difference here is "need".

People who are drawn to Phoenix have a very clear need to show that they have money. They want to show that they have things in life that think give them supposed "status". No thanks.

One of the most awful places I've ever had the misfortune of visiting was Scottsdale. That place is fake, superficial, bland and extremely racist.

That "I'm gonna show you" schtick gets pretty damn old, real quick, to people that have other priorities in life.

Someone from LA calling a city in AZ fake and superficial is utterly hilarious. Do the blinders give you headaches?

Stereotyping, and pigeon holing is more racist than anything else You are whining about

I was drawn to Phoenix because of the great weather, the great natural resources, and the lifestyle here. NOT to "show off" my status..

People like you, who generalize and stereotype others need to look in the mirror more often and get YOUR priorities in order, NOT tell others whats wrong with how THEY live their life..
