Scottsdale is a wannabe Orange County, but hotter and filled with more racist, New Money douchebags.

I was drawn to Phoenix because of the great weather, the great natural resources, and the lifestyle here. NOT to "show off" my status..

People like you, who generalize and stereotype others need to look in the mirror more often and get YOUR priorities in order, NOT tell others whats wrong with how THEY live their life..
Did I strike a nerve?

I like Orange County and could afford to live there. It's miserably congested and full of some of the most vapid people I've ever come across though (some great folks there too though). I have no desire to 'wannabe' like that.

I'm curious as to why you say new money in such a negative tone. Would you prefer to be around self-made entrepreneurs or trust-fund kids?

Phoenix nowadays is better than LA except for two things: public transportation (although Phoenix has gotten better in this regard) and weather. The weather in Phoenix is horrible. Then again, in LA it's not that great either. Too bad most of the places with good weather are expensive (I would not consider L.A. to have good weather)

New Money is obnoxious, showy, pretentious and gauche!

I've seen just enough of it around the outskirts of L.A. to be thoroughly appalled by it.

In Phoenix, it's ubiquitous.

I disagree completely. It's all stereotyping, but most of my friends that come from very wealthy families are much more ostentatious than those that have earned it themselves. The latter tend to be more humble and certainly more grateful.

New Money, in my experience, is very racist too.

"How dare these (insert anti-Hispanic epithet) kids think they're entitled to a public education at my expense -- deport them!"

Arizona has successfully made itself into one of the most racist, homophobic and reactionary states in the nation.

You assume anyone in this thread really cares about your opinion, which is obviously skewered by jealousy and envy, since you are stuck in the land of fruits and nuts..

Glad you hate a state that you dont even live in so much; so we can assume you wont be bringing your opinionated, racist, closed minded self here any time soon..

bye bye now
