Now I have a new question. Do most families in Phoenix hire nannies? Here in Palo Alto most families have a nanny, if not a couple (the last family I worked for had 3!). I'm trying to figure out if I should register with nanny agencies or if it would be best to concentrate on teaching. Mainly because we're tring to get a ballpark budget worked out and there is a pay rate difference. Also, I need to look into what kind of certification I'll need for each job (I had to get fingerprinted to nanny out here and I had to get a Ca teacher certification to teach... both kind of time consuming)

I don't know any families that hire nannies. It might be more prevalent in Scottsdale or higher affluent areas.

Thanks, Sablebaby. I'll focus on the teaching requirements then. I noticed several Nanny agencies in Phoenix, but I'd rather focus on teaching if that's where most of the jobs are. I've noticed your Craigslist childcare section is nothing like the one for this area!

I only know of one family that has a nanny here. I don't think it is common here. If I were you, I would focus on teaching instead.
