My fav is Fry's 'cause of the prices. Its generaly cheaper than the other chains. Trader Joe's has interesting food and isn't too expensive, either.

Curious if anyone has visited the Tesco "Fresh & Easy" location(s)? They don't have them here in Seattle, yet.

Speaking of Trader Joe's...do they have a health section there? I have never been fortunate enough to get to one only heard about how great they are. I know they carry a lot of organics, but was wondering if they sell natural healthcare products like Whole Foods?

And what are Safeway's prices like?? Say in comparison to Albertson's?

Safeway has a very good bakery, so we go there for bread. Walmart has cheap canned goods and frozen dinners, so we go there for that. Costco has good meat, so we go to Costco for meat and bulk items. I think Albersons and Safeway are pretty close in price. I fear food is just going to go through the roof and our HOA will not let us keep chickens or pigs.

Yeah, I was shopping there a lot when they first opened, but not anymore. I hate going to several different stores for everything and the quality wasn't that great. Many of my things would expire within a day or two. It's a cool place to go to once in a while or if you live within walking distance or something.

We have a Sprouts about 3 minutes away, so we shop there a lot. I will say, their produce is not the best, but they do carry lots of health foods like organic milk, organic soy milk, organic beans, hormone-free chicken, that kind of stuff. They are nice and friendly and they always take returns, no questions asked. This kind of attitude keeps me coming back there even though some other stores seem to have better produce and selection (Safeway, Fry's). They have the little free cups of coffee, and plus they play 50's and 60's pop music, so it's got a kind of laid back old-fashioned atmosphere.

The best store for produce that I have seen is Whole Foods. I prefer to buy organic produce, and Whole Foods has the best quality but also the highest prices. I love the new one that recently opened up in north Scottsdale at 101 and Scottsdale Rd.

Thanks for the description of Sprouts! I look forward to going there. It would seem Whole Foods always has the best produce selection, but definitely the highest prices.
