As for the drive, I would avoid Colorado. Also, try to plan passing through Flagstaff and Northern Arizona during the day. The nights and mornings up north are already in the teens and 20's and snow isn't unusual during the night and morning hours in that part of the state in early November. Granted it might not be a lot the roads and bridges freeze over and can make for an "interesting" drive; happened to me last November visiting family in Flagstaff. There was a small pile-up (6 cars) that I was able to avoid on the I-17/I-40 interchange in Flagstaff.

LOL, thanks for making me laugh once again! You never fail. I'm no longer single, but I'm still cold when drinking a beer or cocktail outside a bar/club. Oh well, I can handle it. Last night was not as bad but still cold.

You need to teach him a few things, LOL! Actually, we both aren't too big into the PDA just yet. We are getting there though especially since people don't seem to mind seeing this type of affection nowadays.

If youre not from WI, how can you say its a "depressing place"? What a rude statement and incredibly far from the truth. Two thumbs down on that statement.

Default Wisconsin really is a lovely state!

Wisconsin and the people are very nice. I just struggle with the months of not enough sunshine because I am the one who has been writing about having seasonal affective disorder, so Wisconsin is tough for people who have this. I would stay if it wasn't for SAD because most of our family is here.

It is a beautiful, green state with gorgeous trees and in my view, friendly and polite people. Thank you Steve O for sticking up for Wisconsin.

He may have gotten the idea from some of us saying how gloomy it is for so long and others that I tired of the snow and cold. I could live with the snow and cold (although not crazy about it), not the lack of sunshine.

I think WI is one of the most beautiful states in the nation. Most people have no idea how much beauty there is in WI, and its their loss.

Sorry to get off-topic here.

Some people like Wisconsin, Illinois, etc. I have no desire to visit either state (although in defense of Chicago--------supposedly it has lots of interesting architecture).

Others; like myself, are warm winter lovers............read that Climate Zone 8 or higher

Default I'm a warm weather fan too!

I always say that I was meant to have been born in the south because I get so cold. My husband teases me by calling me a "Reptile" because my blood must be cold. If I had been born in the south, most likely my family would be there. That is the hardest part of moving. My husband and I are both very close to our families.

On the bright side, my son lives in the LA area now, so I will be closer to him. Everyone else is in Wisconsin.
