Not even those who follow Pitt “religiously” know who the coach is going to be.

St. Bonaventure head coach Mark Schmidt rumored to be Pitt's current target. Formerly coached at Robert Morris (2001-07) and been to the NCAAs twice with the Bonnies.

Why would any big name coach want to come to Pitt? They’re one of the worst power 5 schools out there. They’ve already shown an unwillingness to put up with losing ling enough for a coach to get his own recruits in place and gain experience (2 years is NOT enough. Once they fired the last coach, they have tried to renege on the buyout. What name coach isn’t going to be able to find a better job than Pitt?

Exactly this...although they certainly won’t be able to afford to get rid of the next coach unless he’s willing to agree to a cheap buyout and that’s extremely unlikely.

Duke Assistant Jon Scheyer now the latest name under consideration for the Pitt job. He's 30 and been a college coach only since 2014. He's not even Duke's top assistant coach.

All someone has to do is research a random, off the wall name of a coach and get a coule people to tweet it, and pittsburghsportsnow will run an article naming him the probable next coach.
Try it, me and a friend from NC are the the ones that did it with jon scheyer to win a bet. We got him off a poll of 'coaches' (read, their interns) pick to make a good head coach.
100% made up. If Scheyer actually issues a statement about it I win big.

Since you follow the team religiously, who is the next coach?
