when people in the south say right down the street is actully right down the street as opposed in the north people say right down the street is actully like 6 miles down the street

and there is no street lights anywhere in the north
it seems like it is dark everywhere

Default north wins

i lived in ben avon heights (north) until i was 5. Moved to West Mifflin (south) till I was 18. And then Pleasant hills (south) after graduation. I always spent my summers in the north hills. most of my family lives there (emsworth, cranberry, etc.) I commuted to college everyday to the north hills. I now work in a job where I deal with the people from south park, bethel, mt. lebanon, and upper st. clair. I will say the north hills is easier to get to and from town. It is also easier to get around in general in the north hills. The people in the north hills were always friendly for the most part and neighborly. The south hills people are friendly but tend to carry a chip on their shoulder that they are better than people in the north hills. any time they find out i have been to the north hills i have to hear about how far away it is, and how the south is better. People please if you have never been there then don't judge and keep your opinions to yourself! So as far as I'm concerned I like the North better. But both the north and south have their good and bad parts.
