Wishing doesn't make that true. The educational group with the largest D vs. R voters differential is those without a high school diploma. 64% of them vote for Democrats. Uneducated people DO overwhelmingly vote Democrat.

You do realize that the cities I listed with higher poverty rates than the red states you listed are blue themselves, located within blue states, no?

Why aren't blue states eradicating their own huge poverty problems? Hmmm?

Again, it is a FACT that the most segregated schools and the widest income gaps are in blue states. And yet, the poor and minorities keep voting for Democrats.

Do you think Manhattan is filled with ghettos?
You obviously have never been outside of your own city and probably live in the outer suburbs. Keep your misinformed, ignorant opinions to yourself.

And do you really believe that MOST of the New York City and Chicago is poor? Rotfl. You're hopeless. Lol

Again, how in heaven did the 11.5% of poor in Illinois outvoted the remaining 88.5% of population of that state? Rotfl How did the 14.5% of poor New Yorkers outvoted the remaining 85.5% of population there?

You realize that elections are won with percentages and not sheer numbers, don't you? Lol

Illinois is very much like that, too. The blue votes are only in Chicago and just east of St. Louis. The rest of the state is red.

Again, most of our country's poor live in blue states. Quite simply because most large cities are in blue states, and cities have the highest percentage of poor compared to suburban and rural. I've already posted the chart and the statistics.
The percentage is Nashville sadly was in the same bracket. PS, our rural poverty rates are very high. During the Recession, we had rural counties pass 20% U3 unemployment.

Do you realize that percentage-wise there is more poor people in the south than anywhere else?

Top ten states with the highest percentages of impoverished population are staunchly conservative and red voting:

50 Mississippi 20.1%
49 Louisiana 18.3%
48 New Mexico 17.9%
47 Alabama 16.7%
46 Texas 16.2%
45 Arkansas 15.9%
44 Oklahoma 15.6%
43 West Virginia 15.4%
42 Arizona 15.2%
40 Tennessee 15.0%

The ten states with the lowest percentages of the poor are almost all blue states:

11 Maryland 9.7%
09 Nebraska 9.5%
06 Delaware 9.2%
07 Utah 9.2%
08 Virginia 9.2%
05 Hawaii 8.6%
04 Minnesota 8.1%
03 Vermont 7.6%
02 New Jersey 6.8%
01 New Hampshire 5.6%

Another conservative myth dies here.

Blades of grass and cows do not have a right to vote, people do.

None of those things are fact. At best you are arguing comparative income, but everyone being poorer in the South does not make your argument true, in fact it debunks it and shows the major flaws in it.

And the majority of African Americans live in the South and in red/purple states, not blue ones.
