If you want to know why Americans are disliked by so many around the world, you need only look at the American state of mind that actually has the arogance to suggest that other sovereign nation are American's to lose...or win for that matter. Why can we never get it in our mind that we do NOT own and control the entire world?
And yet as we continue to observe Egypt's dilemma ... the tenacious manner in which the so called President of Egypt continues to maintain a seemingly iron grip on his "Pharaoh's Imperial Interests", as he has for 30 years seemingly appears most facinating !!!
One can only ponder a guess how the current brill WH inhabitants would handle a similar disasterous situation should it occur in the States. What ?
Blimey ... all HO & the Muppet Crew have been doing on the Gogglebox is calling for the President of Egypt to bugger off and not allow the police or military to do it's job of protecting people or property !
Imagine if this unprecedented situation would ave appened in the States .. would the TPOTUS adhere to the same procedures with the military lads and lassies and police as dictated to the President of Egypt ?
As we seriously consider the above statement ^ ... a mate would absolutely have to be off his onion to believe that young and vastly inexperienced young bloke in the WH would ever adhere to the same rot given to todays Egyptian Pharoah ! What ?
Uncle Tom Cobley and All in Egypt had bloody well do everything they can to get their country stabilized and back to a degree of normalcy .. or we could all be in a seroius world of hurt if the fireworks breaks out over in that acutely dangerous area of the world ... Think about it !

It could happen here if Obama stays for 29 years.

Howsabout Eisenhower "losing" Cuba? Where does that stand in the treason stakes?
Dead last. Refresh our memories, did Ike abandon a secular leader, i.e. pull-the-rug-out-from-beneath-him so a commie could take over, or did it just happen to happen while he was President?

Being an ally is not owning. Sad, so very sad.
BTW, if we wanted to own it, we could, but we are just too damn nice to do that.

0bama has stayed on the side lines, watching. He can claim no credit for any result here.
Or be given any blame

Yeah, supporting the people of Iraq worked out well, eh?

You mean like the arms embargo which the US imposed on Batista on March 14, 1958 and which made it much easier for Castro to win?
If we'd had 'do nothing' Presidents during the Vietnam era and concerning Iraq we'd be in much better shape than we are today. Why should Egypt be any different?

Same with Cuba. We literally pushed Castro into Moscow's arms with misguided policy.

Egypt has been a very good ally for the USA for a long time and hopefully it will remain as such for a long time to come. To be seen as trying hard one way or the other to effect an outcome favourable for the USA will be a loosing proposition one way or the other. Let us not forget that Russia was Egypt's closest ally before Sadat. The main focus should be an attempt to prevent radical Islamist from taking control. I'm sure that this can be done behind the scene utilizing the close relationship between the US and Egypt's military.
I think the best outcome at this point would be a military takeover of the country leading to elections at whatever point the country has been stabilized. This should be seen as a totally internal solution without foreign intervention of any sort.
Please don't confuse all 'Yanks' with the bleeding heart NeoConfused nation builders.
