TAXPAYERS pay for """State Police helicopters and homeland security missions""".........and NOT to give some spoiled rich repug a ride to a baseball game....
.
You obviously didn't read the article. These trips don't cost taxpayers a dime. Try reading it again. Maybe you will understand.
To say that flight did not cost the taxpayers anything - and to NOT see it as a big waste of resources just so someone could fly to six innings of a baseball game is just naive shortsightedness with a dash of rose colored glasses vision thrown in too- -
Try reading the ENTIRE article. They you will understand. These are training missions...
Now, you can call the State Police Superintendent a liar if you want to.....................
To say that flight did not cost the taxpayers anything - and to NOT see it as a big waste of resources just so someone could fly to six innings of a baseball game is just naive shortsightedness with a dash of rose colored glasses vision thrown in too- the gas costs something- to say that these flights are happening anyways is a cop out- the gas used for the flight should have been used to transport food to homeless shelters, or to do anything that would be far more useful to the taxpayers than bringing that politician to a baseball game-this sort of entitlement attitude of all politicians is something that is so hypocritical and it is absurd that anyone would defend such misuse of government resources-
That's hilarious!
Homeless shelters with heliports.
LOL, i love how the right says it cost no money to fly and defend a fellow repub to no end. Lets see now, when a helicopter flies it uses fuel which costs money. When a helicopter flies it requires maintenance which costs money. The flight crew must be paid and that costs money. Guess where this money comes from? I find it very hypocritical of him to use a helicopter instead of a car when the state is cutting back on everything else. I wonder what repubs would say if a dem would have done this?

Read the link, the pilots needed training and would have been fying the helicoptor with or without Christie on board!
As usual, conservatives refuse to critisize their elected officials when they do things that are blatantly wrong and hypocritical. Fat boy took a state helicopter to his boys ball game, but it's all good. Just pathetic.

As usual, the left are reduced to name calling since they have no coherent argument. The Police said the flight for the Governor incurred no extra cost to the public. But of course the left wastes no opportunity to lie.

The helicopter was able to land at a baseball game in a field- why couldnt there be a field near a food pantry?-anyways granted that wasnt the best example off the top of my head, but my point was just that the flight costs money to taxpayers no matter how right wingers try to deny it, and that any flight even one used for training should be used for some purpose that benefits the taxpayers, how about actually TRAINING the pilot in police sutuations, or is that going to be a frequent police helicopter pilot situation with this governor-what next, flying him to the beach, or to a golf course?
Fuentes said the time police pilots fly the governor count as training time.
"It is important to understand that State Police helicopters fly daily homeland security missions, and use flight time for training purposes, more so lately as we acclimate our pilots to the new aircraft," Fuentes.
Fuentes said because of this, the flights have no extra cost to the taxpayers.
Just so I understand, our state troopers are now trained in flying people to baseball games??? Does this fall under "daily homeland security missions"
Yeah, it seems inconceivable that the State helicopter would fly the Governor in a homeland security situation.
