While I don't agree with interrupting their event, you are correct in the above statements. Having known MANY Special Olympians over the years, I can say they're tougher than most (if not all) people on this board... they have more spirit and gumption than anyone here, myself included.

I know one Olympian who's around 50 years old, almost completely blind, autistic, with diabetes and down syndrome - yet he holds down a full-time job at the DC headquarters, AND gets himself to & from work on the subway every day. Oh, but somebody with (for example) fibromyalgia or carpal tunnel is incapable of working? Mmmmmkay.

This is gonna happen when politicians only come out to events that are 1 packed with their supporters or 2 addressing some sympathetic group who they hope to be associated with.

If the guy had the cojones to come out in public on his own this never would have happened.

There we go.

A refreshing moment of truth about how right wingers think of the disabled.

A group so low and comical you associate their organizations with those you hate.

Thanks Summer....don't go changing.

I have high regard for the disabled actually. I don't think the union folks would stand a chance against the disabled folks. I think they were just hatin' on them.

Hah! The union members lost to the Special Olympians! That's a good one.

That's pretty bad losing to those guys!

Hey did I mention right wingers are very concerned about Special Olympians feelings! As this thread no doubt proves.

It was hard to determine who was more mentally disabled in that crowd. What selfish, self-centered idiots the union thugs were. Of all the people to pick on and steal their their thunder. Pigs. Selfish pigs is what they are. May they rot.
