Only in some states. Quite a few states have the age of consent set at 16 and rightfully so.
The amazingly idiotic notion that someone is responsible enough to operate thousands of pounds of machinery at high rates of speed, yet isn't mature enough to engage in an instinctual activity is downright laughable.
That is a value judgment that is left to the State legislature.
If that's the case, then do you believe we should lower the age at which one becomes a legal adult to 16? Including being able to get married without parental permission, buy a house, drink, etc?
There is no easy answer to the question considering it covers a huge range of responsibilities, but when it comes to sexual relations absolutely yes.
Think about it....in reality this woman could be facing prison time, however
if this act occurred one state over in Nevada, it wouldn't be an issue at all since the age of consent in Nevada is 16.

Quite frankly, these days there's not much difference between a 16 year old and a 21 year old.
Actually, I'm 18, turning 19 this December. From personal experience, I would say my friends and I are nothing like we were at 16. I know for sure, I'm not. I'm almost the complete opposite of how I was then.

If this girl of 19 goes after him for child support, then she could be charged with Statutory Rape, that is what this is all about.
