Last I heard the girl is getting death threats from Justin Bieber's fans.

I do not know what is so appealing about that kid....and I secretly hope the kid is his.

I don't expect any better from Beliebers! They are the closest thing in the west to the obsessive fandom that envelops the stars of J-Pop or K-Pop!

Why again is it illegal - rape - for a 19 year old to have sex with a 16 year old?

Metro - Was Justin Bieber's alleged bathroom tryst statutory rape?
I don't know. But most states have a buffer period, so that people merely a couple years older than a minor can't be accused of statutory rape.

Then LAPD should arrest Selena Gomez, too.

AH, but dating is perfectly legal, it's just the sex you can't have.

I understand that's the law. I think it's a bad law.

I'm from Colorado. There, the age of consent is 17. However, there is a 10 year closeness of age exception for those 15 and 16. That means sex between a 15 year old and a 25 year old, or a 16 year old and a 26 year old is perfectly legal. I just think it's ridiculous that a 19 year old having sex with somebody 2 and half years younger would be considered a felony.

She was an adult, he was not. That is rape in California. Ask all those female teachers who F'd their students.
