Can anyone give an example of something this bill led to in a classroom that was "take our kids out of school" worthy? I'll wait.

Yes, they are. They're certainly not the majority.

Because the state has decided that it's important to teach subjects other than reading and writing. Are you against teaching them math and science too?

Interesting that it's the people who don't live here who seem to be the most angry about this.

So even though walking down the street there would be no visible differnce than anyone else of the same color you still want to be a minority? Again this is the problem in this country right now. Stop with all the stupid groups. Its so divisive to this country. Its dumb the more we seperate the more people will hate.

So do you want to become a gay american? how dumb does that sound.

you being gay doesn't and should not give you special rights over anyone elso.

PS The government should not be in the marraige business. But with that said the government should not be making laws that say church's should not be aloowed the choice if they don't want to do gay marraiges. Afterall freedom is freedom. I will always always fall on freedom's side.

According to 90% of the people in this forum any second of the day a public school isn't telling kids how the American Flag was given to George Washington by Supply-Side Jesus himself as a sacred covenant to kick all the blacks gays Mexicans and loony left liberals out of this country is a waste of taxpayer dollars (which itself is second only to the Bible in terms of religious importance), and therefore worthy of removing your precious cargo from that evil Socialist indoctrination camp.

They are already gay Americans, and have every right to identify themselves as such. Furthermore, you can't tell I'm Jewish when passing me in the street, so does that mean anti-Semitism is nonexistent and/or not worth addressing? Sometimes the "invisible minorities" are the most persecuted, and we deserve recognition for our hardships too. Doesn't mean you need to treat us special or anything, but one doesn't need to be visibly different to suffer from discrimination - and to argue otherwise would be absurd.

Oh, no! They're going to teach children in California that the world was not created for and by old white men?? Blasphemy!

Reading the comments on the site the OP includes tells you pretty much all you need to know about the opposition to this bill. The demographics of this country are changing, and I have a feeling you are not going to like the future too much...
For some reason I believe that the inclusion of sex in that thing went too far. When people tell me that that is such an important thing I have a hard time accepting it. Yes, we have existed for thousands of years, some hundreds in this nation, without them being included as a specific group and until that group wanted to be able to marry just like the rest of us and pushed so hard I had no trouble with them. Go ahead and worry about me because I posted that link and realize that few liberals, if any, would stoop so low as to read that blog. I shared it with you folks so you could know about what you would never read any other way.

What a strange question. First of all, look up the definition of minority:

- The smaller number or part, esp. a number that is less than half the whole number.

No one chooses to be in the minority or the majority. You either are or you are not.

Sorry, but people will always want to be around others who are similar. I don't see many blacks and whites mixing in churches, do you? How about Baptists attending synagogues?

Again, there is no choice. If someone is gay, he's gay; if he's an American, he's an American. I get the impression that you just don't want to hear a damn word about gays, and so you're using this argument that says we shouldn't talk about our differences. Hogwash. We're not all the same. It's a fact of life.

Show me a state that forces churches to marry people against the church's wishes, and I'll give you my life's savings. You're either very uninformed, or you're just making up BS.

The majority can vote their representatives out of office if they want. That's how a representative government works. I thought conservatives knew that this country is not operated as a direct democracy.
