Gay people exist. Just because you may be uncomfortable with that fact, it won't ever make them cease to exist. Accept them as fellow human beings who are a little different to you.... or not.
They will never accept gays. That level of ignorance and hate cannot be penetrated by evidence, logic, or rationality.
considering the fact that some foreign governments are condoning violence and murder for their GLBT citizens, I don't see how Obama's rule is unreasonable. Foreign aid to these governments should always have some strings attached in my opinion. In fact, Perry might have made more sense if he had said to end foreign aid ENTIRELY. Are Perry's followers this heartless? Would they have condoned foreign aid to Hitler's Germany when the Holocaust was occurring because they were Jews, gypsies, intellectuals and homosexuals?
Based on the anti-gay posts in this thread by some of this boards posters, it sounds like the extremist religious right in this country is already turning into Hitler's Germany.

How is he trying to distort or spin the article? You quoted a line from the article that says Perry said "Promoting special rights for gays in foreign countries is not in America’s interests and not worth a dime of taxpayers’ money.” That sounds pretty hateful. If he was simply against aid to certain countries, he didn't have to phrase his comments like that.
Not to mention, what's being talked about now is denying aid to countries where there are egregious civil rights violations against gays. This would not cost money; in fact, it would save money.
It sounds like Rick jumped on what he saw as an opportunity to show his hatred of gays without even knowing the facts of what he was talking about. Talking about things without knowing the facts is not new for Rick.
And then Jesus will return and every knee will bow. And then comes judgement.
And you won't be happy on that day. If you want to pull the religious card, you will lose.
