Advertisements

In addition to paralleling this ad with images of the Holocaust and lynchings, why not also use some images of tortured people from the Inquisition, witch burnings, and Crusades. Seems to me that the suffering from all of those events stemmed from religion.

I wonder what people would think if this was an anti-war campaign, and this same loop-hole was used to post graphic images of casualties of the wars? Or any graphic, disturbing images for that matter. The fact is under normal circumstances this type of advertisement would not be shown at that particular time.

Thats fine, as long as the pro choice crowd can show molested middle schoolers that will be forced to go through with pregnancies, rape victims forced to give birth to babies that they didn't want to have. Lets also have them show babies of drug addicts slowly dying because they've been so screwed up and the pregnancy should have been aborted.

One needs to witness a twelve year old victim of incense giving birth before they judge. Perhaps that event could be aired in support of the pro-choice................no, pro-choice advocates actually are more considerate than that.

Zimbo and I don't even agree on the subject of abortion, but I do agree with her here. It's simply in bad taste to show commercials of that nature (any "downers", really) during the Superbowl. And I think it's retarded that people are saying, "Don't like it? Change the channel!" We cannot base our society on looking the other way. After all, who's to be offended by a murder except those who pay attention to it? The victim's already dead and for all we know LOVING it. So if the FAMILY of the victim doesn't like the thought of them being murdered, they should just go play tennis!

the beauty of free speech is that most people will probably hate what randall terry did after that ad airs. i imagine even pro-lifers will be offended simply because of the graphic nature and the fact a lot of people watch the super bowl with their children.

As to your first paragraph, I have two words for you: "wardrobe malfunction".
wow, the irony. protecting the right to life by advocating killing? what kind of messed up logic is that?
