You seriously want to live in Section 8 housing? Seriously?

If you think this would be such a great lifestyle, quit your job(s) and do it.
I'm checking out of this one, I'd suggest you stop feeding the trolls.

What are you talking about? How would I not pocket that much?
My state,NJ,to qualify for Medicaid its 20,000 dollars.

My sis, lives in Nc. They make 40,00 for a family of 8. The children qualify for Medicaid, but not the adults.

Also, with section 8 vouchers, you can move anywhere. You are getting housing suthories and sectin 8 mixed up.

Say if a property in upsscale Livingston accepts section 8. Section 8 only pays 1000 toward the rent. That person could make up the other 1000 dollars.

Why are you accusing me of trolling?
Actually, the amount I'm paying for healthcare spells the need for an overhaul of healthcare costs.

ITS possible to pay that much in taxes too. I paid 17,000 in fed taxes, and I have 68,000 taxable income. I have NO tax shelters to hide my money,no 401k,so all of my money gets taxed.

Making 3500 a. Yaer,someone qualifies for food stamps,rental aasistance,medicaid,free dentals,car insurance,EIC for all children,school lunches.heck,even in some states free cars.

Contrast that with person making 60,000. If their gas gets cut off,no program will help him out. They are SOTA.
I made 10k back in 2006 and ibgot food stamps, I don't know where this free dental care talk comes from, I got free cleaning at my local community college that's it.

You're speaking families but men who don't have families are out of luck. Poor people get medicaid, and most doctors don't like it because they get a reduced payment, team that with lower service from doctors who really don't care.

You guys have really lost it if you feel people live better for free than people making 60K or a family making 60K.

Why should anyone think that helping the needy is wrong?

But what this underscores is the fundamental different values that the two sides have. Conservatives believe that taxes are theft and whatever one earns is there's. They believe programs that help the needy are a waste.

Liberals believe (as Adam Smith did) that societies winners need to pay a higher proportion of taxes to support the needy.

Not all landlords take section 8.
